Coastal Hydrodynamics


The laboratory's Coastal Hydrodynamic studies focuses on the application of modern mathematical modeling (numerical and computational) to understand the dynamics of waves in the coastal environment, and their impacts on coastal erosion, beach erosion/recovery, and transport capacity. CEHL engineers and scientists have experience with multidimensional simulation tools to study, predict, analyze, and forecast coastal changes resulting from fair weather as well as storm conditions. Representative areas of research include:
